There is a beautiful forest of dense deodar above this fountain and flowing downwards is the Uhl River which is a tributary of the Beas River. Batty House

As I told you, Barot Valley is a valley settled due to the construction of Shanan Power Project located here and it was constructed during the British rule. The British officer who was assigned the task of making it was Colonel B.C. Batty was the one who had to prepare the map for this project from the top of the hill, for which his place of residence was also built on the top of the hill. He used to prepare the map of the project from where he lived and from there he used to do the entire planning of the project because the location of the project is clearly visible from the top of the hill. Later this building came to be known as Batty House and being a building of the British period, this building is the oldest building of Barot. If you want to go here, then the path goes to the top of the hill through the forest above the fountain located in Barot Valley and you will reach there in 20 minutes. Here in Batty House you will get to see the maps of the Shanan Power Project built by him.

Phula ri Dhar, Barot Valley

Phula ri Dhar

There is a beautiful hill in the south direction above Barot village. It is known as Phula ri Dhar. The name of this hill is in the local language here. Its Hindi translation is "hill of flowers". If you want to see the view of high hills and dense forests of pine, then this place is considered to be the best place for nature lovers. This place is also the best for those who want to live in a peaceful environment. Hotels are available to stay here, but in summer, book the hotel online about 20 days before coming here, otherwise you may or may not get a room in the hotel because in the summer season, a large number of tourists come to these cold valleys. From here, the beautiful snow-covered hills of Mandi and Kullu are visible and along with that, the last end of the Dhuladhar mountain located in the Western Himalayas, which is in Kangra district, is also visible. "Phula ri Dhar" is in Mandi district. I am Ram Himachali YouTuber, I myself am fond of traveling and have visited Phula ri Dhar countless times. I am a tourist whose video you will find on Ram Himachali YouTube channel. If you want to go to "Phula Ri Dhar", you can also go by trekking from Barot, in which you will have to walk for about 6 to 8 hours and if you want to go by car, then you can go off road from a place called Jhatigari, about 20 km behind Barot. Sometimes this road also gets damaged due to heavy rains, so always talk to the hotel staff on phone before coming. If you want to go to "Phula Ri Dhar" before going to Barot, then you can go to "Phula Ri Dhar" from a place called Jhatigari, 20 km behind Barot.
